Did Legolas and Aragorn know each other before?
He Met Aragorn
Though the timelines don't quite match up with Thranduil's post-Hobbit advice for Legolas to find "Strider," it is implied that Legolas and Aragorn met between the two movies. If not from Legolas' travels, then they two met when Aragorn brought Gollum to Mirkwood, per Gandalf's request.
In the books, they met at the Council of Elrond. It's possible that they'd encountered each other before, seeing as Aragorn had been travelling the wild for some 60 years by then, but that isn't mentioned. In the movie universe it seems like they meet some time between the Hobbit films and the Lord of the Rings films.
Legolas and Gimli are Aragorn's companions throughout The Two Towers and The Return of the King. They make up the new Fellowship of the Ring. Aragorn has now known Legolas from his younger says a s a Ranger of the North as seen in The Battle of the Five Armies, as it was Thranduil who told Legolas of Strider.
He Met Denethor and Theoden Before The Lord of the Rings
He served under the king Thengel in Rohan and rode to battle with him, which would have happened while Theoden was a child. He also then went from Rohan to Gondor and served as an aid to the steward Ecthelion II of Gondor, the father of Denethor.
Generally, the Valar only permitted immortals the right to reside in the Undying Lands. In the Third Age, Frodo, Bilbo, and later Gimli got special dispensation to travel to the Undying Lands because they were ring-bearers.
Are you elvish folk? ' And Aragorn answers; “One only of us is an Elf, Legolas from the Woodland Realm in distant Mirkwood.
That said, the people behind the “official movie guide” for The Lord of the Rings list Legolas as being born in the year 87 of the Third Age of Middle-earth, which makes him some 2,931 years old around the time of the War of the Ring, which happened over 3,000 years into the Third Age of Middle-earth.
Legolas and Gimli's relationship is strong in The Lord of the Rings, even though it wasn't explicitly romantic in canon. The members of the Fellowship in The Lord of the Rings forge an unbreakable bond while on their mission to destroy the One Ring.
Legolas tells Gimli that his final count is 42 Uruks.
Legolas's official date of birth is unknown though according to the movie guide he would of been 2931 at the time of the events of the War of the Ring whereas Gandalf would of been 2019. Unlike Legolas the amount of time that Gandalf spent in Middle-earth is actually known. Thanks for asking!
Is Galadriel Legolas mom?
Legolas's Family Tree
Yet, since Tolkien does give family trees for other important Elves in the book, such as Galadriel and Elrond, it's clear that Galadriel is not Legolas's mother. (Besides, she is one of the Noldor, not a Silvan or Sindar Elf.)
He's half-elven and through Arwen (and also Aragorn) he is a descendant of Beren and Luthien. So will he like his mother (and grandfathers) be able to make the choice to be mortal (man) or immortal (elven)?
She appears in the novel The Lord of the Rings. Arwen is one of the half-elven who lived during the Third Age; her father was Elrond half-elven, lord of the Elvish sanctuary of Rivendell, while her mother was the Elf Celebrian, daughter of the Elf-queen Galadriel, ruler of Lothlórien.
A descendant of the rulers of Gondor and Arnor, Aragorn is considered the lost heir of Gondor. When he was just two years old, his father was killed by Orcs and his mother sent him to live among the Elves in Rivendell.
Aragorn is destined to become the king of his people, but by an incredibly long line of succession, the Rangers are his birthright. The Dunedain people endured a schism that divided them into two major groups, those of Arnor and those of Gondor, also known as the North and South kingdoms respectively.
After his wife died in Fo. A. 61, on 22 September Sam left Bag End, and went to the Tower Hills where he was last seen by Elanor, entrusting to her the Red Book; according to her, he went to the Grey Havens to sail across the Sea and be reunited with Frodo in the Undying Lands.
It is to the Undying Lands that the White Ship sails at the end of The Lord of the Rings. The Ring-bearers, Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins were among the very few mortal beings to set foot on the shores of the Undying Lands. Later Samwise Gamgee, and then Gimli and Legolas together, ventured for the Undying Lands.
Gimli is 139 during the events of The Lord of the Rings. Dwarves have an average lifespan of 250 years; thus, being young and strong, he was selected by Elrond to represent the Dwarves as part of Frodo's company.
The actor is suffering from Legolas Syndrome — where you accidentally get cast into a role that suits you far more than your real-life looks, leaving you with a tricky predicament after the wrap party.
In fact, there's only one line that Legolas says to Frodo: “And you have my bow.”
Why are Legolas eyes sometimes blue?
In the films, Bloom wore contacts to make his eyes blue, probably to distinguish him from the Silvan elves of Mirkwood, Legolas, the son of Thranduil, is a Sindarin, often treated as nobility by elves of less distinguished lineage.
Average Elven Lifespan
Elves have the ability to live forever thanks to their immortality. Elves like Elrond, who was over 6000 years old in The Lord of the Rings, are not hard to come by.

Both Tom and Treebeard were referred to as the oldest living creatures of Arda, though it is not clear which of the two is the oldest. However, according to Tolkien's letters, it is implied that Bombadil was the oldest living being in Middle-earth.
However, Tauriel also has a "softer side", and her character arc includes a love story. Though she and Legolas first met as children, and their relationship is significant, her romantic arc is not with him, as she develops a mutual attraction to the dwarf Kíli.
Tauriel went off to look for the dwarf Kili, attempting to save him. However, during the battle, she witnesses Kíli's death at the hands of Bolg. After the battle, she confesses her love over Kíli's body. It is unknown what happens to her after this.
Galadriel descends from the House of Finwe. Her father was Finwe's youngest son Finarfin. Her mother was Earwen, daughter of Olwe, Lord of the Teleri and brother of Elu Thingol. Legolas is the son of Thranduil who's father was Oropher from Doriath.
Legolas never runs out of arrows, and his quiver just fills up at random. At other times, he has no arrows at all but goes through the motion of firing them. Presumably, this is a CGI error that failed to fill in the shot.
Forget Sauron, probably the most lethal character in The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings franchises was a blonde elf called Legolas. The lean, mean orc-slaying machine – played by Orlando Bloom – was taking down bad guys left, right and centre, and now someone has made a video detailing every one of his kills.
Late in The Fellowship of the Ring, the companions encounter a mysterious being that we only later discover to be a Winged Nazgûl. Though they aren't able to identify it, Legolas succeeds in shooting down its flying steed.
How old is Frodo in human years?
Aragorn led the forces of the Reunited Kingdom on military campaigns against some Easterlings and Haradrim, re-establishing rule over much territory that Gondor had lost in previous centuries. He died at the age of 210, after 122 years as king.
Elves, at least the Eldar, have a pregnancy that lasts about a year. By the age of 1, Elves can speak, walk and dance. Puberty and full height are attained at around their fiftieth to one hundredth year, when they stop aging physically.
Legolas (pronounced [ˈlɛɡɔlas]) is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. He is a Sindar Elf of the Woodland Realm and one of the nine members of the Fellowship who set out to destroy the One Ring.
Galadriel is of the Noldor, and her mother was of the highest race, the Vanyar; Celeborn was a Sindaran elf from Doriath, so between the two, the rulers of Lórien have the most impressive bloodlines.
Elrond Half-elven is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. Both of his parents, Eärendil and Elwing, were half-elven, having both Men and Elves as ancestors.
In notes from c. 1959, Tolkien wrote that Eldarion had lived till the age of 125, mostly likely having passed away in Fo. A.
As one of the nine Nazgûl, Isildur was forced to serve the Dark Lord for all time until he was defeated and freed by Talion. The ranger later claimed his ring to survive after Celebrimbor abandoned him and eventually took Isildur's place among the Nazgûl after holding back Sauron's forces for decades.

Is Arwen Galadriel's granddaughter?
Arwen was her granddaughter
Galadriel and Celeborn had a daughter named Celebrian, who married Elrond and became the mother of Arwen (as well as her brothers, Elladan and Elrohir).
The elves, or the Eldar, are immortal in the sense that they cannot die from illness or old age, however they can be slain. If they do die, they are summoned to the Halls of Mandos on Valinor, where they may eventually be returned to a physical form, although only in Valinor.
Arwen isn't necessarily dying because of the Ring, but now that she is mortal, she is dying through the slow decaying of time. Arwen also faces the same fate as all those in Middle Earth should the Ring Bearer fail his mission. So in that way, her fate is tied to the Ring.
The ring is too dangerous a commodity even for the Undying Lands. Elrond makes the final decision, stating that 'the ring should be destroyed: as long as it is in the world, it will be a danger even to the wise. For nothing is evil in the beginning.
Similarly, Aragorn is a Christ figure in his role as healer. As Ioreth, a wise-woman of Gondor, proclaimed: “The hands of the king are the hands of a healer, and so shall the rightful king be known.” For Tolkien, as he insisted so memorably in his famous conversation with C.S.
Galadriel immediately becomes suspicious and soon confronts Halbrand. He concedes that, yes, he is Sauron, and hopes to restore order to Middle-earth.
Elrond Was Essentially Aragorn's Father
While this is also present to an extent in the books, the appendices also tell the story of Aragorn's upbringing, in which Elrond plays quite a significant role. Aragorn barely knew his father, Arathorn, who was killed when Aragorn was only two years old.
Aragorn and Legolas were both at Rivendell in October of 3018 for the Council of Elrond.
It all started when Peter Jackson came to the sad realisation that he'd cast Aragorn too young. The role was originally given to British actor Stuart Townsend, who flew out to New Zealand with the rest of the cast and spent two months preparing for the character.
Who did Legolas fall in love with?
Legolas and Gimli's relationship is strong in The Lord of the Rings, even though it wasn't explicitly romantic in canon. The members of the Fellowship in The Lord of the Rings forge an unbreakable bond while on their mission to destroy the One Ring.
Legolas Was 2,931 Years Old (In The Films)
Legolas called the other members of the Fellowship “children,” indicating his advanced age. Still, he was never mentioned to have fought in The Last Alliance.
Since TheHobbit was filmed years after Lord of the Rings, Bloom had already aged prior to playing Legolas back in time, giving himself an older look despite the fact that The Lord of the Rings takes place a whopping 60 years later.
A producer of Lord of the Rings has said that Sean Connery turned down the role of Gandalf because he “just didn't get it”. The role in Peter Jackson's Oscar-winning fantasy trilogy ultimately went to Ian McKellen.
As for The Lord of the Rings, Slash Film reports that Cage was offered the role of Aragorn before it went to Viggo Mortensen.
Tolkien doesn't reveal whether Legolas's mother died sometime during the Second or Third Age, or if she traveled to the West, leaving Thranduil and Legolas behind. Legolas does not marry or have any children, based on the appendix of The Lord of the Rings.
